Rushed to Hospital
Following the shooting at the end of the last episode, Maddie, Xavier, Nicole and Claire rush KC Jensen to the hospital where he has to undergo surgery immediately. Xavier tells Nicole and Claire to stay clear since no one knows they were at Jensen’s house. Maddie relays that Van Heidt escaped through a door she’s seen previously in her visions. She also realizes that Kyle’s body is at the hospital and he can get back into it, so she sends Xavier to find him.

The hospital is hopping on the night in question. Nurse Calver takes Kyle and Dave through her scar, revealing she died in the elevator the day the hospital opened. Sheriff Baxter arrives to question Jensen about the shooting. And Dr. Hunter Price is asking him to question his own son and his ex-girlfriend.
Searching for Simon
The ghosts are searching all over the school trying to find Simon after he disappeared when the floodwaters made their way through the church scar. They can’t find him and Mr. Martin starts wondering if he crossed over, body and soul. Wally gets an idea about a possible way to save Simon, but Mr. Martin points out there’s no way to know what’s beyond his door as no one has ever come back once they crossed over.

Back at the hospital, Nurse Calver, Dave and Kyle have made their way down to the ghostly remnants of an old foundry that was on the grounds before the hospital was built. These ghosts are stuck in a permanent loop and can’t cross over. Nurse Calver calls them the forgotten as it seems like they are permanently stuck. This could be the future for the school ghosts if something isn’t done. Sheriff Baxter is also questioning Xavier and Maddie about the shooting. He also reveals that Livia sent him a picture of Maddie driving Xavier’s truck the night he was hit. He says he can’t protect them if the photo gets out.
Jumping Bodies
The ghosts keep trying to figure out how Van Heidt managed to escape his scar. They know he’s been possessing bodies, but they aren’t sure how. Mr. Martin figures out that’s what happened to his friend, Ralph, who was struck by lightning when they were kids. Mr. Martin ran away and when he got back, Ralph was gone. He wasn’t sure what happened then, but now he’s convinced Van Heidt stole Ralph’s body.

The ghosts go back into the church scare where Mr. Martin talks to Ralph. He apologizes for leaving him and asks where Simon went. Ralph points to another room and the ghosts go look. They found eight stain-glassed windows, one for each child. This hints the kids who drowned in the church were able to cross over at some point.
Kyle’s Return
At the hospital, Xavier finds Kyle coming out of his scar. He’s out of kilter but his body is back in the hospital. He has a chance to have a life. He goes to the surgical room to get back in his body in the same place that he once lost it. Dave gives him a pep talk and points out that he will finally get his life back. Kyle climbs back into his body.

After he awakes from anesthesia, Kyle is greeted by doctors, Xavier, Maddie, Sheriff Baxter and Dr. Hunter-Price. The sheriff questions him and Kyle answers thanking the kids and ensuring the sheriff he wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for them. Sheriff Baxter and Dr. Hunter-Price don’t know what went on behind the scenes. However, the sheriff is happy to accept the explanation while Dr. Hunter-Price is clearly shocked by what she’s hearing. KC Jensen has been her plan’s biggest supporter. Of course, that was when Van Heidt was in the body, not Kyle.
Crossing Over
Back at the school, the lights start flashing letting the ghosts know that someone crossed over. Rhonda, Quinn, Charlie and Yuri come running into the auto shop waiting to see who it was. Mr. Martin wanders in slowly because he already knew about Wally’s door. He tells Wally’s friends about Wally getting his door after Maddie went back to her body but didn’t seem to be willing to take it. Charlie is upset because Wally had promised to tell him if Wally left. Rhonda is confused about why he took it if he never wanted to take it and Quinn realizes that Wally went after Simon.
Back at the hospital, Dr. Hunter-Price is still trying to get KC (Kyle) Jensen on her side for the demolition. This version of Jensen is unwilling to cooperate as he has no clue what’s going on. Jensen has also taken off the ring that belonged to Van Heidt. Dr. Hunter-Price yells at him until hospital staff make her leave. Livia also walks away in disgust at her mother’s actions. Nurse Calver walks by her scar and realizes the door is open again just like when Kyle’s body was snatched. She knows someone has possessed another body, she just doesn’t know which one.

Maddie’s mom is back home and Maddie decides to come clean about everything. She talks about technically dying at school and Janet possessing her body. She discusses hearing from her father and how her favorite necklace was actually a gift from her mother while giving the credit to her dad. After going to her room alone, Maddie finds a way to make her door appear. She walks through it and goes to a forest to try to find Simon.
