The Marvel Cinematic Universe first graced movie screens in 2008 with the release of Iron Man. That film’s rousing success ushered in a new era of filmmaking where superhero and comic book films dominated the box office. The Infinity Saga (between Iron Man and Avengers: Endgame) was the most cohesive shared universe ever put to screen. Marvel continued the universe afterward and we are now at 37 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In 2025, Stelmach-Brown Media reviewed several new and returning television shows on the website. Over the course of the year, I’ve taken on 10 shows across Disney Plus, Paramount Plus and HBO Max. Some have been good. Some have been bad. And some have fallen somewhere in between. I’m going to look back at the 10 series and rank them from worst to best.

In 2025, Marvel and Disney released eight properties to theaters and on Disney Plus. Nine were originally scheduled, but Wonder Man was delayed until 2026. Some of these properties were amazing, while others were only okay. In this listicle, I’m going to rank the eight properties by how good I found each of them.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe captured the hearts and minds of moviegoers between 2008 and 2019. It was a cultural event that brought in some of the highest box office totals in history. But after COVID restrictions shut down the theaters for nearly a year, the MCU hasn’t been churning out the same box office numbers. Let’s look at each film released since theaters re-opened and see what may have contributed to their low, or high, box office.

Since launching in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has provided teasers to future properties. While many have become iconic like “the Avengers Initiative” or “Thor’s hammer” in New Mexico, others have been left as dangling threads. While it’s unclear when, or if, Marvel will get back to these threads, this list will look at the credit scenes that remain unresolved.

In July 2025, a new Superman film will hit theaters marking the cinematic reboot of DC’s shared universe. While Superman will be kicking off the DCU, it leaves behind the remnants of the DCEU. This first attempt at a shared universe began with Man of Steel in 2013. Over that time, DC released 16 films that can be considered as part of the DCEU. However, because of comments from current DC head James Gunn, it’s unclear where one of these films falls. Let’s look at my rankings for the DCEU.

Beginning in 1966, Star Trek has carried viewers to “strange new worlds” and introduced “new lives and new civilizations” to fans. The franchise produced several television series and movies over the decades. However, in 2017, Star Trek made the jump to streaming with Star Trek: Discovery which launched on what was then called CBS All Access. In that time, the service has been rebranded as Paramount Plus, and there have six original series, plus an original movie, made for streaming. Let’s take a closer look and rank them.

Original Star Wars content has been a constant on the streaming service as the very first episodes of The Mandalorian were available on the service on launch day back in November 2019. Since then, several series have been released exclusively to Disney Plus with mixed results. Some are beloved while others are reviled. But which is the best? In 2021, Marvel and Disney began airing television shows and special presentations on Disney+. These were designed to continue the stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Marvel had attempted TV series before through a partnership with Netflix and series released on ABC. However, this batch of shows were the first to be announced as part of the MCU. These series have been met with mixed reactions with some being loved and others being despised. In this article, I’m going to rank the series based on how much I enjoyed them. Let’s check it out.
