Peacemaker springs the trap set for him by ARGUS. Harcourt makes a decision about helping ARGUS or helping Peacemaker. And Peacemaker makes a life-altering decision.
Warning: Spoilers below

Springing the trap
Harcourt has texted Chris to meet her. Meanwhile, ARGUS is set up around her planning to either take him out or take him in. Peacemaker keeps using human shields to ensure they won’t take a shot and rips the microphone off Harcourt. It becomes clear that Harcourt used a code word telling him not to come, but he decided to show up anyway. He asks her about an incident that happened on a boat between them. She calls it a mistake and says they can never be together because he killed Rick Flag Jr. At that point, ARGUS moves in, and Peacemaker works on making his way out.

Fleury, Judomaster and other ARGUS operatives have Peacemaker surrounded, but he’s not giving up. Bordeaux has a clear shot, so Harcourt attacks Peacemaker, knocking him unconscious and handing him over to ARGUS custody. Bordeaux is angry, but Rick Flag Sr. is impressed by Harcourt and happy he gets to take out his frustration on the man who killed his son.
Booking Peacemaker
Peacemaker is taken into holding while Harcourt and Bordeaux argue over Harcourt’s move. While they have it out, Rick Flag Sr. takes out his frustrations. Chris Smith is handcuffed but also refuses to fight back. He takes the beating from the father of the man he killed in Corto Maltese. The rest of ARGUS is happy to let Flag beat Peacemaker to death, but Harcourt has other plans.

Harcourt tells Economos to book Peacemaker. This means there will be a record of ARGUS taking him into custody, meaning Flag can’t just make Peacemaker disappear. Economos fights back at first but eventually accepts her reasoning and does it. While Bordeaux is again angry, this time at Economos, he throws back in her face that legally it’s what they are supposed to do. Bordeaux tells Flag what Economos did, meaning ARGUS will let him go, so police don’t arrest a man who has been brutally beaten. Peacemaker is released into the custody of Vigilante and Adebayo.
Eagly’s Revenge
While everyone is away from Peacemaker’s family cabin, St. Wild has arrived and is targeting Eagly. He believes Eagly is the primal Eagle and must be killed. St. Wild sets a trap and manages to kill an eagle that he believes to be Eagly. He’s about to celebrate his accomplishment when Eagly attacks him with his talons. A soar of eagles arrives and St. Wild accepts his fate. Eagly and the other eagles attack, pecking him into an obvious death. Bye bye St. Wild and Eagly survives. This was an odd side plot that seems to be here to give Eagly something to do rather than advance the story.

Peacemaker’s Decision
Peacemaker tells Vigilante and Adebayo that Harcourt turned on him. He doesn’t understand that what she did was save his life. He believes he has no future in this universe and misses the alternate universe where he has a loving family and is perceived as a hero. When he’s alone, he calls Eagly to him and decides he must go to the alternate dimension so that version of his family doesn’t lose him and he finally gets the family he needs. He walks in as Keith tells them, it’s time to suit up. Chris tells Keith her rescued an eagle who is his new sidekick and Peacemaker, Keith and Auggie go patrolling and Chris makes up with that dimension’s Harcourt.

He closes the portal and leaves a letter for the rest of the team, unaware that Judomaster followed him through the portal. In the letter, he tells Harcourt, Adebayo and Economos to turn in the device that sets up the portal. He believes it will help them get their way back into ARGUS and fix their issues. He says this will leave all of them happier, but Vigilante is alone in a room crying at losing his best friend. Harcourt decides the team must go save Chris from the dimension and Judomaster as they work to reopen the portal. Vigilante jumps in happy that his new friends are helping him save his best friend.
What’s Next?
It’s time to find out what the deal is with this other dimension. There have been very few, if any, people of color in that dimension which makes me think it’s Earth X, the Nazi world in DC comics. That would explain why almost everybody there looks a certain way. Peacemaker’s father was a white supremacist who hated the world, so it’s certainly possible in the alternate dimension, he’s a loving and happy father because those with his views won.
Meanwhile, Rick Flag has revealed his true intentions. His main goal is to stop another dimensional rift like was revealed in Superman. He assumed Harcourt would never actually betray Peacemaker but wanted him alive to learn more about the inter-dimensional doorway. He’s actually only pretending to only be out for revenge as it will make it easier to get Chris to show him what he wants. Flag has been in the background until now but he’s proving to be a formidable foe who would be the hero of the story if it weren’t told from Peacemaker’s perspective. That’s good storytelling.
