Abby is understandably furious about everything now and doesn’t want to talk to Pinkus. Trevor recognizes that he messed up and put Sam in the middle of another family’s argument but he wants his daughter to know about him. However, they use Sam’s smartphone for a good cause when they remember the picture slideshow she was showing Jay earlier. They find a way to send pictures of Pinkus and Abby growing up together. Trevor may be her biological father, but Adam Pinkus was there every step of the way as her dad. Abby and Pinkus reconcile and Trevor’s daughter now knows that he’s her father.
Trevor Steps In
Not content to let things be, Trevor decides to step in and use his ghost power. He is trying to use Sam’s phone to text Pinkus and suggest he tell Abby the truth. But Trevor sends it to the wrong number and instead of sending the message to Adam Pinkus, he sends it to Abby Pinkus. She comes down furious about what she thinks is a prank, but Adam tells her he “didn’t want her to find out this way.”

Pete’s Investigation
In the episode’s B-story, Pete tries to break things off with his long distance girlfriend who is believed to have murdered her husband. He goes to where she lived and finds another ghost there who claims he saw the murder as a ghost and appears to confirm that she murdered her husband. However, something’s not quite right about his story.
This ghost has a walkman and is listening to Prince’s Purple Rain album on repeat. Despite not knowing much about what’s going on, Jay remembers that Purple Rain came out in 1984 which means that ghost couldn’t have been a ghost in 1982 when the murder happened. Pete goes back and confronts the ghost who reveals it was his wife, at the time, who committed the murder. That woman is now elderly. Sam and Jay end up turning her in to clear Pete’s girlfriend’s name.

Rating
This episode has a lot of heart and a lot of laughs. Every time we dig deeper into Trevor’s life, we see a complicated individual. He seems like a typical finance bro until you realize he cares about others a lot. It’s great to see him learn that he has a daughter. Meanwhile, Pete continues to be an all time great ghost with how he interacts with others. Ghosts keeps delivering each and every week.
