Payback and a Partial Shebang
Fagenbacher starts hitting back at Georgie and Ruben for their actions that hurt his tow truck business earlier in the season. He’s also got a deal that may be difficult to refuse.

Trouble for the Store
Georgie returns home from a tow that was a long way out in the country and there was nothing there. This has been happening quite regularly, and Georgie can’t figure out why. He receives a page for a tow while eating dinner and gets angry about the possibility of their not being anyone when he gets there. The next day, he arrives to see a delivery of snow tires. He’s confused and asks Ruben why he ordered them, but Ruben tells him he didn’t and thought Georgie did because Mandy is a meteorologist and had a tip.

The pair figure out that it was Fagenbacher. The rival tire store owner let them know that he knew they had damaged his tow trucks. Now, he’s working to get back at them by hurting their store the same way they hurt his store. The issue here is that they are struggling while his business is successful, so it can bankrupt them while he can survive the repairs. Georgie and Ruben have to figure out how to fight back.
Fagenbacher’s Offer
Georgie tells the McAllisters that Fagenbacher is targeting his store. Jim lets a lot of it go, because he’s been in Georgie’s situation, but he does offer to go talk to Fred. However, Audrey steps in and says that she should probably talk to Fagenbacher since she and Fred have a history together. In the end, Mandy goes down and confronts Fagenbacher without telling Georgie. She tries to get him to back off, but learns that Georgie poured bleach in Fagenbacher’s tow truck gas tanks.

Mandy goes down to confront Georgie and Ruben about what they did. Mandy tears into Georgie for his rash decision. She warns him that he could go to prison and that his actions could hurt him, her and Cici, as well as his mother and Ruben and his family. Ruben is worried about what they could lose. That’s when Fagenbacher shows up at the store to talk to Ruben. He lets Ruben know that he has no issues with him, just Georgie. Fagenbacher offers to buy Ruben out of his part of the business. This would save Ruben’s grandmother’s home and give him financial security and stability. It’s a difficult offer to refuse.
Georgie Must Improve
Georgie and Ruben discuss the issue at play and Ruben tells Georgie about Fagenbacher’s offer. He lets Georgie know that he’s seriously considering the offer. Georgie pushes back and it shows the difference in their styles of running the shop. Georgie wants the shop to grow and expand. Ruben wants to play it safer and have one successful shop. Georgie seems to be viewing Ruben as a hindrance more than a partner. This mirrors his relationship with Mandy as he’s often not including her in important decisions. It’s showing he needs to grow in the same area in multiple relationships.

Georgie goes over to Ruben’s house to try to talk him into staying as partners. Georgie addresses his shortcomings and tries to find a way to make things work with Ruben. He suggests bringing in Jim to break ties on business decisions, but Ruben suggests his grandmother. In the end, Ruben’s abuela (that’s Spanish for grandmother) is at the store and breaks a tie on hiring a second tow truck driver. They’ve got a stopgap measure for now.
What’s Next?
This episode demonstrates how Georgie’s rash decision making can lead to issues with his relationships. His actions caused Ruben to rethink their partnership and led to a blowup with Mandy. Yes, Jim stepped in and spoke on his behalf, but there’s a long way to go before Georgie is the successful businessman running Dr. Tire stores across Texas. And we know his marriage to Mandy, at least this version of it, has to end. I wonder how that will impact the show going forward.
