BABY FIGHT
Georgie and Mandy have the type of fight that could lead to an eventual divorce when they disagree over having another baby. Plus, Mary Cooper returns in the latest episode of Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.

Inevitable Fight
After a trip to the pediatrician, Georgie and Mandy are asked about the possibility of having more children. Given the name of the show, it’s clear they aren’t going to be on the same page on a lot of major decisions, so everyone could see where this was going out of the gate. Georgie wants to have another child while Mandy wants to put a focus on her career. She’s not saying “no” to another child, but she knows what she wants, and another child may hurt that. They try to bring Jim and Audrey into it, but even Many’s parents know this isn’t much of a place for them to get involved.

Georgie tries to pull the Monica Gellar when she was sick but wanted to be intimate with Chandler trick. He comments on how hot it is and takes off his shirt. Later when they are lying in bed, he pulls it some more with his pants. That ends with him being banished to the couch like he was in an earlier episode. Georgie has to try to sleep while Connor watches Jay Leno in the living room.
Mary Returns
After work the next day, Georgie heads over to his mother’s house for a break and some comfort. He talks about the situation with his mother. Mary wants more grandchildren but also understands Mandy’s side. Mary was rather annoying on Young Sheldon, so it’s nice to see some of her more redeemable and understandable moments on Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage. I’m still not sure how she moves from the version Zoe Perry plays here to the version Laurie Metcalf plays on The Big Bang Theory, but I’m sure we’ll get there.

Georgie and Mandy have a fight on the phone about the situation when Mandy checks in to see if Georgie is coming home. The fight explodes to the point of Mandy telling Georgie that he’ll be sleeping over there. He lies about what’s going on, leaving Mary questioning if she has to “bake a pie.”
Mandy and Connor
As part of her questioning whether she wants another child, Mandy talks to Connor about their time growing up together. He flat out tells her that she was a bad older sister. He explains situations where she did some things that made his life worse: telling him hot peppers were candy, giving him a wedgie that twisted his testicles and convincing him to jump on the roof and him breaking his collarbone.

In a sweet moment, Mandy gets a call from the local television station asking her to fill in on the weather again. Connor is very supportive, and Mandy comes back to give him a hug and apologize for how she was as a sister. He says she made him who he is today which she says makes him feel worse. She goes to work and ends up stuck outside in a rainstorm proving that maybe the career she’s pursuing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
rating
This episode highlights the major problem in Georgie and Mandy’s marriage. They don’t really have much in common. She’s in her early 30s and wants to be career-driven. Georgie is 19 and is happy working in a tire shop and raising a family. Neither is wrong, but they need to be on the same side of the issue. At one point, they talk about where her career will take her, and she suggests Miami. Georgie isn’t opposed to leaving the town where they live but doesn’t want to leave Texas. We know they’ll get divorced at some point and we know that Georgie will sell more tires than anybody in Texas. This episode advances that plot while still bringing in the humor.
